Workspace feature list

Everything the module does, grouped by what you would be trying to achieve. Where a feature has a guide, the guide is linked.

Feature What it does
Four workspace types Decision, Research, Policy, and Delivery
Name What the workspace is called
Purpose Gives Research and Content a shared decision boundary, so the AI can judge relevance
AI instructions Standing instructions applied to every AI chat in the workspace
Workspace options Settings for the workspace after creation
Filter this Workspace One box that filters content, research, and references together
Feature What it does
Add from Assets Opens the service’s asset store and links one registered item into the workspace
Upload Adds a file straight from your machine
Module filters Facets down the side of the picker, each with a live count
Review status filter Narrows the picker to assets in a given review state
Evidence signals Six signals per asset — authority, provenance, publisher/owner, source date, geography, review status — with a filled-in count
Automatic selection The AI chooses which references are relevant to a question rather than reading everything

Gather references covers this rail.

Feature What it does
AI-planned topics The workspace breaks a request into separately answerable topics and registers them
Question and status Each item records what it set out to answer and whether it finished
Summary and findings A short answer, then the detail
Per-finding sources Real links, plus a Sources used count on every step in the AI panel
Evidence gaps The panel reports “Research completed with evidence gaps” instead of claiming completeness
Asset metadata Edits the item’s name, description, and keywords, and pins it in the workspace
Ask AI to suggest metadata Fills the metadata fields for you
Registered as service assets Research and scratchpads appear in any asset picker in the service, which is the only route evidence takes between workspaces
Remove Takes an item out of the workspace

Work with research covers this rail, and Content and metadata settings documents every field.

Feature What it does
Documents The full document editor, inside the workspace
Charts Diagrams built with the Charts designer
Scratchpads A free canvas with drawing, elements, pan, and zoom
Draft and Live Page status per item. Drafts stay editor-only
Landing page The item that opens first, required before you can publish
Configure page Name, description, page status, landing page, keywords, and collection for one item
Collections Group content items, and become named groups in the published navigation
Keywords Free-text tags for anything the service has no field for
Ask AI to suggest metadata Fills name, description, and keywords from the item’s own content
Pinned in this Workspace Keeps an item to hand
Organise navigation Arranges published pages into navigation groups, by hand or from collections
Per-item versions The publish dialog shows each item’s current and published version
Generated from N sources Provenance badge recording what an item was written from
Linked from Backlinks showing what points at an item

Create content covers this rail.

Feature What it does
Multi-step plans Scaffolds topics first, researches each separately, then plans the content
Visible progress Each step shows a tick, a duration, and a completed-task count
Runs in the background A plan keeps running if you navigate away
Stop this run Halts the plan after the current request. Provider requests cannot be paused mid-flight
Auto-apply New content is created for you; edits to existing content stay staged until approved
Approve and Dismiss Per-change buttons on a staged suggestion
Review mode Switch auto-apply off to review every suggestion
Starter prompts Draft business requirements, research the gaps, create a scratchpad of open questions, suggest Asset metadata
Personas The assistant persona is selectable
Conversation history Past conversations, plus a button to start a new one
Context meter Shows how much of the conversation budget is used before compaction
Duplicate avoidance The AI reuses an existing item rather than creating a second one
Team-visible transcripts Recorded transcripts are visible to workspace members

Control what the AI does and the AI panel reference cover this.

Feature What it does
Share Workspace Sets internal access — Private, Restricted, or Internal
Share links Time-limited links, with an expiry in days
Publish Workspace Publishes Live content to a reader-facing page
Publish summary Shows the landing page, the item count, and how many drafts are being omitted
Allow comments Lets signed-in viewers leave feedback on the published copy
Version history note Records what changed in a publish
Open published Workspace Opens the reader-facing copy

Publish a workspace covers this.

Not available Detail
Private AI chats Transcripts are visible to workspace members by design
Pausing a request mid-flight Stop applies after the current provider request completes
Publishing drafts Only Live items are published, and the landing page must be Live
Anonymous access from the workspace Anonymous visitors need an External Publisher URL
Adding several references at once The asset picker confirms one item at a time
Research without a question The AI works from the workspace purpose and your request; a vague ask produces a vague plan
Cross-workspace research Evidence travels through the Asset Library, not directly between workspaces
A published copy beyond the landing page On the version tested, extra Live pages publish but are not linked from the published contents list

Quickstart works a real decision through end to end. Capabilities maps each feature to the page covering it.
