Documents lives inside a service, not as a standalone file system. That means every document is connected to the service brief, team, assets, and publishing record.

Service context
Section titled “Service context”Open a service and choose Documents from the Content Modules section of the sidebar. The module shows only the documents created in that service. Create New, search, and filtering are scoped to the current service.
Connection to other modules
Section titled “Connection to other modules”A document can link to artifacts from other modules:
- Brand kits for typography and color.
- Data Hub tables and dashboards for live data.
- Flowcharts for diagrams.
- Other documents, pages, or assets for cross-references.
Linked artifacts appear in the component toolbar and can be opened in their own module.
Team and permissions
Section titled “Team and permissions”Access to documents follows the service team and content-access settings. Owners and editors can create and edit; viewers can read published versions. Governance controls from the Brand module do not apply to document content directly, but service-level roles still control who can publish or export.
Publishing and exports
Section titled “Publishing and exports”Published versions are visible from the service module view. Exports are generated for each user and download to your own computer. They are not stored as service artifacts unless you upload them to Assets.
Your first document
Section titled “Your first document”- The Quickstart takes you through a first document from end to end.
- Documents and components explains what a document is made of.
- Link artifacts and comments shows those connections to other modules in practice.
