Create a document from a template

Open a service in Lunar Paper, go to Content Modules, and click Documents. Click Create New, then choose Document.

The template picker opens with 114 templates across 11 categories:

  • Business & Strategy
  • Engineering & Technical
  • Product Management
  • Project Management
  • Design & UX
  • Science & Research
  • Marketing & Content
  • Operations & Process
  • Education & Training
  • Compliance & Legal
  • HR & People

Pick a template that matches your outcome, not just your topic. A Business Requirements Document template is preloaded with headings for scope, stakeholders, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. A Research Report template is built around abstract, methodology, and bibliography components.

Type a meaningful document name. Avoid placeholders such as test or Untitled. A good name makes search, version history, and published links easier to understand (Acme Portal Launch — Business Requirements).

Click Create Document. The Document Builder opens with the template structure on the canvas.

You can delete any preloaded component, replace it, or add more.

If none of the templates fit, choose the blank option. You get an empty canvas and build the structure yourself with headings, paragraphs, and components.
