Version history and publishing
Documents auto-saves as you edit, but named checkpoints and published versions give you a recoverable history.
Save manually
Section titled “Save manually”Press Ctrl+S to force a save at any time. The toolbar shows the last saved time.
Create a version
Section titled “Create a version”Click Version History in the toolbar to open the version panel.

Each entry shows a timestamp and any comment you added. Add a meaningful comment such as Added stakeholders and functional requirements or Ready for legal review.
Publish a version
Section titled “Publish a version”Publishing creates a milestone that other team members can see and reference. Published versions are harder to delete and act as a stable snapshot for exports.
Restore a version
Section titled “Restore a version”Open the Version History panel, select a previous checkpoint, and click Restore. The canvas reverts to that state. This does not delete later versions; you can still return to them.
Compare versions
Section titled “Compare versions”Select two versions in the panel to see a side-by-side diff. Use this during review cycles to confirm what changed between drafts.
Around a saved version
Section titled “Around a saved version”- Export a document turns a finished version into a PDF, Word, or Markdown file.
- Change how that output looks in Design a document.
- Link artifacts and comments covers the review conversation that leads to the next version.
